This first publication has an introduction to disability-inclusive development (DID), description of it’s main principles, and also illustrates these principles with examples from the field.
It covers key facts and figures on the situation of women, men, girls and boys with disabilities living in low-income countries and presents the reasons why development and humanitarian actions must be disability-inclusive. The publication also shows how CBM has endeavoured to implement disability-inclusive development, and what they have learnt along the way.
From May onwards, the publication can be ordered in English via all major book sellers (ISBN 978-3-7375-3923-4) and is available on www.cbm.org/didseries1_the_future_is_inclusive_pdf. A German version is also available
